Beschreibung
- To connect a TPMS Receiver Control Unit (RCU) to the DIAGN/CAN socket of the ECU.
- TPMS system allows to connect up to 2 Reciever Control Units (RCU). Depending of the vehicle type and Haldex Can Bus layout, the corresponding cable should be used.
- ID is determined by voltage on pin 8, CAN resistor is located in the RCU. Both options are realised with shunts in the FCI plug.
- Conforms to IP67 when mated with ECU or DIAGN/CAN splitter and TPMS RCU
- Cable insulation material : PVC
814 040 0xx - Rear unterminated - Without CAN resistor, RCU ID 3 - Blue label
814 040 1xx - Front unterminated - Without CAN resistor, RCU ID 2 - Yellow label
814 040 2xx - Front terminated - With CAN resistor, RCU ID 2 - Red label

Diagnose
TPMS is an extension of EB+/U-ABS, using the Haldex Can Bus for the power supply and the communication.
The supply of the RCU must be checked if the communication between ECU and TPMS RCU is not Ok.
Test points | Condition | Required value | Mesured value | Comments |
---|---|---|---|---|
FCI plug 7 - 9 |
Power ON |
B+ |
If the mesured value is below B+, it can indicate a resistance in the wiring. Next steps :

|
FCI plug 1 - 9 |
Power ON |
0V < V < 5V |
The average voltage of CAN High wire is around 2.5V Next steps :

|
FCI plug 3 - 9 |
Power ON |
0V < V < 5V |
The average voltage of CAN Low wire is around 2.5V Next steps :

|
FCI plug 4 - 6 |
Power OFF |
For 814 040 2xx, R < 5Ω For 814 040 0xx and 1xx, R > 5MΩ |
This link inside the connector activates the CAN Bus resistor inside the TPMS RCU |

FCI plug 8 - 9 |
Power OFF |
For 814 040 0xx, R > 5MΩ For 814 040 1xx and 2xx, R < 5Ω |
This link inside the plug gives a specific ID to identify the TPMS RCU |
