Christmas greetings16 December 2020
Dear business partners,
It’s not easy to find the right words at the close of such a turbulent year which has demanded so much of us in our personal and business lives.
We were all so directly confronted and affected by this pandemic and its fallout that it was not possible to prepare for it in advance. We just had to accept it. Masses of optimism, much innovation, consideration, courage and application were needed to prevent ourselves being overwhelmed by the situation, to get on top of it, to make the best of it, to learn from it and to look forward to the future.
This process has shifted a number of entrenched and established patterns of behaviour in ways that we wouldn’t have thought possible before. For many of us, it has imposed an entirely new way of thinking. We have seen how our blue planet has been able to slightly recover, with cleaner water, a drastic reduction in air pollution, and life returning to places where it had previously disappeared. We have seen a new willingness to help, the abandonment of entrenched behaviour patterns, new ways of communicating with each other, more consideration, understanding, empathy, solidarity, and a completely new focus on the family and the immediate environment. And suddenly new opportunities opened up before us!
If you can, just close your eyes for 20 seconds and think about the positive moments, experiences and good feelings you had despite (or perhaps because of) what has happened in this crazy year of 2020. It would be good if the 20 seconds ‘prescribed’ by me proved insufficient for all your positive moments!
My wish for the year now coming to an end is for us all to build on this process in great empathy and on an equal footing to experience, create and make possible such wonderful and special moments. Let us remain open for whatever comes, and breathe life into our slogan ’Haldex open to progress’.
I would like to thank you all most sincerely for your wonderful collaboration and your trust, which we will always try to deserve, and will never take for granted!
So let us go forward in this spirit and look forward to more exciting projects and an unrestrained pioneering spirit, which has never been more needed than it is today and in the future!
On that note, I would like to wish you all a happy and special Christmas and a healthy start to the year 2021, of which we are all hoping so much.
With seasonal greetings,
Head of Market Communication Business Performance & Benchmarking EMEA
