Impacts of COVID-19: Haldex is temporarily closing the distribution center in Weyersheim

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 Haldex will temporarily close the distribution center in Weyersheim, France for a period of two weeks as from Monday March 23. The last deliveries before the temporary close down will be shipped to customers on Monday March 23. Customer service will continue to operate as well as a few administrative staff.  

The distribution center is located in a highly affected area and Haldex is no longer able to overcome the effects of the major disruptions in the logistics chain in the region. The temporary closure of the distribution center is also in line with recommendations from local authorities. Haldex is working hard to find alternative distribution chains during the temporary close down.

Haldex’s highest priority is the safety of employees and customers and Haldex is carefully monitoring the situation with the outbreak. Haldex is putting all its efforts on evaluating and mitigating the negative effects of the outbreak. In the current situation, where there is a high level of uncertainty as to how the situation will evolve, for example regarding measures from authorities, customers and business partners, it is very difficult for Haldex to predict the financial impact on the business following the outbreak. Further information will be provided as it becomes available and in the interim report for Q1 which will be published on 23 April.
