EOLT - EB+ Soft Docking Tests
The new "EB+ Soft Docking" system supports various hardware and software setups and therefore a detailed test has been implemented in DIAG+ v6.14 to ensure the system is working in line with the user expectation. All test results are finally visible on the EOL test report.
Note: The screen above shows the final result screen of the EB+ Soft Docking test, details about the test sequence are shown below.
- this test is primary a component and not a system test, if needed a full system test including brake application can be performed during final "Lamp and Auxiliary tests"
- during this component tests the normal beeper function is disabled
- also automatic brake application at 1m distance detection is disabled **)
Step by Step - Test sequence (4 sensor system)
Start - Select Reverse Gear
- if DIAG+ detects that "Reverse Gear/Light" was already active prior to this step the user will get a request to disable it first
- usually the user will only be requested to enable the "Reverse Gear", like shown here, this powers up the "EB+ Soft Docking" sub system
- if fitted, the tail lamps start to flash in a frequency corresponding to the measured distance to closest obstacle

Cover Sensor - Yellow Channel
- DIAG+ indicates connected US-sensors by corresponding yellow boxes per channel (in this case 4)
- cover any of the sensors connected to the yellow channel, use the shown offset to ensure correct location, sensors on green channel will be ignored during this step
- if sensor coverage has been detected by the system the colour of a yellow box changes into green and the beeper is activated for 1 s to provide audible feedback in an production environment.

Cover 2nd Sensor - Yellow Channel
- DIAG+ indicates previously covered US-sensors by green boxes
- cover next sensor connected to the yellow channel
- as before, if sensor coverage has been detected by the system the colour of a yellow box changes into green and the beeper is activated for 1 s to provide audible feedback in an production environment.

Cover Sensor - Green Channel
- after covering all sensors on yellow channel the test continues automatically on green channel
- cover any sensor connected to the green channel
- as before, if sensor coverage has been detected by the system the colour of a yellow box changes into green and the beeper is activated for 1 s to provide audible feedback in an production environment.

Cover 2nd Sensor - Green Channel
- cover second sensor connected to the green channel
- as before, if sensor coverage has been detected by the system the colour of a yellow box changes into green and the beeper is activated for 1 s to provide audible feedback in an production environment.

Tail Lamps - Function Test
- like during whole test the system activates the tail lamps and they should flash regulary now
- the test step has three result options:
- OK - in case you see flashing lights
- Not fitted - in case your setup does not include tail lights connection
- Cancel - in case the light are not working, this leads to a failed test

Beeper - Sound Test
- for this test the system activates the beeper and you should hear a regular flashing sound
- as before this test step has three result options:
- OK - in case you hear a sound
- Not fitted - in case your setup does not include a beeper
- Cancel - in case you don't hear the beeper, this leads to a failed test

Finish - Disable Reverse Gear
- at this point all EB+ Soft Docking components have been tested
- in order to disable the sub system the user has to disable the reverse light
- from this point the EB+ Soft Docking system is back in normal operation mode (brake and beeper function)
- based on EOLT settings the program will show the final EB+ Soft Docking test screen (shown on top) or continues automatically with the next EOLT test step
