Haldex attended the Business Excellence Award Luncheon, nominated for the Education Partner Award, by Platte County R-3 School District and the Northland Career Center.

The Platte County Economic Development Council celebrated its 29th Annual Business Excellence Luncheon on Friday, December 6, 2019.  Since 1991, the Platte County EDC had presented 183 Business Excellence Awards.  Introduced this year, was an additional category recognizing businesses that are investing in the future by interacting with school districts and students. 

We are humbled to be one of the first two companies to be a recipient of this award and be recognized by the Platte County R-3 & Northland Career Center as an outstanding partner to the Northland Career Center.  The Northland Career Center's mission is to prepare students for a continually changing world by providing relevant experience, offering training in trades. 

Haldex has been a trusted partner to the school's Diesel Technology program by providing curriculum input for several years, as well as donated training tools, such as Air Brake Supply System Trainer Board, drum brake ABS trainer, and an air/disc training stand. We have also provided the Diesel Technology Instructor training in the area of air brakes. Kyle Hinton serves on the Diesel Technology advisory board, and Helmut Derra has served the past four years on NCC's Institutional Advisory Board. Outside of classroom training, Haldex has provided Platte County students with tours of our facilities as part of Manufacturing Day.
