A strong post pandemic recovery was seen in most of Haldex’s markets and segments during 2021, where Haldex gained market share in Europe and the Americas with strong organic OEM growth as well as successfully grew the aftermarket business.

There was a sharp improvement in operating margin in 2021, despite the challenges in the supply chain. The steps taken towards a more flexible business model with a structural reduction in cost base have had the desired affect. Haldex is on the right path to higher margins and reaching our target as volumes pick up.

Net debt has increased over the years partly driven by debt financed R&D expenses. Strong measures and a new capital strategy were put in place during 2020 to reduce net debt. There was a positive trend in net debt / equity during 2021. Haldex is taking steps to become financially self-sufficient.
Goal
Haldex works systematically to prevent accidents and incidents through training, safer workplace environments and attitude changing. In 2021, the target was updated to have max 2.5 work-related accidents per million hours worked.

Haldex has high aspirations to run an ethically sustainable business and has zero tolerance of bribery, corruption, child labor and discrimination. The objective is that all Haldex employees should be trained in the Code of Conduct.
