Haldex wins large compressor business
Haldex Air Management Division (a part of the Commercial Vehicle Systems business area) has signed a contract with a major global diesel engine manufacturer to supply truck brake system air compressors for their North American production. Deliveries are planned to begin late in 2005 and the order value is estimated to exceed 500 MSEK ($75 m.) over the life of the contract.

For Haldex this is an important strategic step to regain leadership in engine-mounted compressors for air brake systems, and to fulfill the strategy to supply the global heavy truck market with complete air brake systems. Boasting the highest drive-thru torque capacity and highest turbo-charged inlet pressure capability in the industry, the new high output twin-cylinder compressor design meets the demanding present and future requirements of the heavy truck industry.
