Fourth generation four-wheel drive from Haldex in new platform from Volkswagen
Haldex receives new order from Volkswagen for four-wheel drive system, expanding previous order from 2004.

Haldex is to supply its electronic four-wheel drive system, which is based on the fourth generation Haldex coupling, for a new platform from Volkswagen. Deliveries are expected to commence in the autumn of 2008.

The new order is an extension of the existing program for the Volkswagen Group and is valued at EUR 8 million. The new platform is the first in its segment for Haldex. The four-wheel drive system will be manufactured and delivered from the Haldex plant in Landskrona.

“Haldex supplies intelligent four-wheel drive systems to three major vehicle manufacturing groups, VW, Ford Motor Company and General Motors. The expanded order we received today is confirmation that a major and important customer such as Volkswagen continues to have confidence in Haldex as a supplier of world-leading technology,” says Joakim Olsson, President and CEO of Haldex AB.
