ABS solenoids have 2 coils, named as DUMP and HOLD, they are used to modulate the control pressure of the ABS relay valves.

The cable use 3 wires, as the ground for both coils are COMMON.

Connect DIN plug on the ABS relay valve, disconnect Aux plug on ECU :

Comments

Aux plug

1 - 2

12 Ω < R < 20 Ω

Nominal = 16 Ω

DUMP solenoid

If the values are out of range, cable or solenoid can be faulty

Next steps :

check for oxidation marks in connectors
check for solenoid coils resistance
check the continuity of the wires 1 and 2 with ohmmeter between the two plugs. (R<5Ω for correct operation)

Aux plug

3 - 2

12 Ω < R < 20 Ω

Nominal = 16 Ω

HOLD solenoid

If the values are out of range, cable or solenoid can be faulty

Next steps :

check for oxidation marks in connectors
check for solenoid coils resistance
check the continuity of the wires 1 and 3 with ohmmeter between the two plugs. (R<5Ω for correct operation)
