Software Update Management System (SUMS), ensuring safety, traceability and compliance

As vehicle systems become increasingly software-driven, regulatory compliance is more critical than ever. In response to UNECE Regulation R156, Haldex has developed a robust Software Update Management System (SUMS) to support trailer manufacturers and fleet operators in managing software updates for braking systems such as EB+ 4.0 and ABS 4.0.

Our SUMS platform ensures:

Secure and traceable software updates
Compliance support with R156 requirements, including updated authorisation, documentation, and lifecycle management
Seamless integration with type approval processes and conformity of production

With SUMS, Haldex helps you maintain control over critical ECU parameters, reduce cybersecurity risks, and ensure your vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant throughout their operational life.
