TPMS mandatory for new trailer approvals as of July 2022
The EU’s Global Safety Regulation (GSR) contains a distinctive change in relation to the previous version. Namely that, as of July 2022, it will be mandatory for all new trailers approval, category O3 and O4, to feature a monitoring system for tyre pressure; the so-called TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System).

The TPMS constantly measures the air pressure and temperature in the tires of trailers. It extends tire life, reduces fuel consumption and avoids vehicle breakdown or accidents due to flat tires.
